Gregory Silva established Stonehouse and Silva in 1979, in his home town of Alameda. He realized there was a unique need for a quality family law firm in Alameda, a family and business community, that is multicultural and financially diverse. Yasmin James has served as an associate attorney at Stonehouse and Silva since 2003. She graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law in May 2002. Ms. James currently serves as the Chair of the Barristers Section of the Alameda County Bar Association, and in 2007 she received the Alameda County Bar Association's Young Attorney -Distinguished Service Award. As a law student, she mediated employment discrimination suits with the EEOC. She is also the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in property law. |

Stephanie Sato recently joined the firm. Ms. Sato served as a law clerk for the Supreme Court of Guam from 2004 to 2005. She graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2004. As a law student, she worked for a family law firm and served as Symposium Editor for the Computer and High Technology Journal. Ms. Sato studied overseas while attending the Santa Clara University School of Law's Center for Global Law and Policy program in Tokyo, Japan. |
